The University of Turku is the third largest university in the country with approximately 21 000 degree students. It is a multidisciplinary university with eight faculties; education, humanities, law, medicine, science, social sciences, technology and economics. The largest faculties are the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Technology.
Role in the project
The University of Turku role in EDC-MASLD is to provide a link to the ongoing INITALISE project which is coordinated from the University of Turku. This is a project focused on how environmental factors such as persistent environmental chemicals impact the development of the immune system. The aim of this collaboration is to test how the identified EDC compounds are impacting early life.
