Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA) works on a wide range of environmental, climate and resource issues with a holistic focus on the interaction between water and the environment, nature and society. NIVA combines research, monitoring, investigation, problem solving and consultancy, and work across disciplines.
Role in the project
NIVA will be mainly involved in WP3, 5 and 7 in EDC-MASLD. In WP3, NIVA will lead Adverse Outcome Pathway (AOP) development and in vitro to in vivo extrapolation (Task 3.3), contribute to knowledge mining (Task 3.2.1) and Implementation in current integrated approaches of testing and assessment (Task 3.4). In WP5, NIVA will lead the development and application of the zebrafish ZFL 3D spheroids as an alternative model for screening and assessment of human-relevant EDC mixtures. In addition, NIVA will also contribute to WP7 regarding future assessment and regulation of EDCs.
