Inserm

Inserm (Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale) is the only public research organization in France entirely dedicated to health. Our objective : to promote the health of all by advancing knowledge on living organisms and their diseases, and by developing innovation.

The primary focus of the Institute of Nutrition, Metabolisms, and Cancer (NuMeCan, Inserm U-1317) revolves around understanding the intricate connections between diet, behavior, environment, genetics, and metabolism, and how they influence human health and the onset of chronic diseases.

Role in the project

Our research team is dedicated to investigating the effects of xenobiotics on health, particularly in the context of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), and uncovering the underlying mechanisms. Utilizing diverse in vitro models, including 3D cultures that closely mimic physiological conditions, we aim to provide insights that possess high translational relevance, ultimately contributing to advancements in the field.
